Quitely sneak into the hostel corridor with your cord at a rather inopportune time. Usually most hostels have one door opposite to another. Use your rope to tie down one knob to the knob exactly opposite with a proper grip. Use a strong rope that wont give away and make sure that the victims are either too busy at work or fast asleep. If executed properly, you can enjoy the fun as one of the door opens up another or chances are that neither of them opens up leading to wide-scale laughter and chaos.

2. ANother way of setting your teacher off the track is to ask her something she just rehearsed 5-10 minutes earlier. If the topic is a long drag, she will be set back by this but she cannot afford to appear annoyed for the basic reason that you are asking her something pertaining to the syllabus.
